So as many of you may already know from my posts on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter, I attended the amazing 1st Birthday “Into the West Bloggers Network” event on Sunday 10th May in The g Hotel Galway.
To explain to some of you what ITWBN is that may not already know, ITWBN is a place where Irish Bloggers get to keep in touch, share blogs, meet & network other bloggers at the events, but not only that, I found that I have developed friendships with so many wonderful blogging ladies & gents that continue to support & inspire me! You don’t have to be a beauty or fashion blogger to attend, if you have a blog or are thinking about setting up a blog then ITWBN is definitely the type of people to surround yourself with.
This was my second ITWBN event and I was so super excited. After the first event, I left feeling so inspired and ready to take on the blogging world full force so I couldn’t wait to get back and meet all the amazing people I met last time.
I decided to wear an two piece full circle houndstooth skirt & black top that I bought before Christmas and my makeup was a simple flick liner eye makeup look with a bold berry lip!
I was a bit late for the event, as was my fellow Mayo Blogger @AlongCamePollly but we made a bit of snapchat fun out of it and quickly joined in!
Firstly, I want to mention the g hotel. I don’t have any words to really describe, only that the first thing I said walking in to the hotel lobby was WOW! This hotel as I always knew would be the perfect venue for the 1st Birthday of ITWBN. The food, the event room and the staff were so helpful, I even ventured out to the main bar and ordered a few sneaky cocktails, which were absolutely delish!!! (Definitely try the hanky panky)
We were all seated at our tables, my table was named “The Giants Causeway” and was surrounded by lots of new faces who were attending the event for the 1st time and the gorgeous Kate Kelly from Cocoa Brown who I met at the last event, we were treated to gorgeous appetisers from the g hotel and yummy dessert treats, absolutely spoiled rotten!
The event had four guest speakers the beautiful Sinead from Minnie Melange Blog Speaking about her blogging journey, Dee from CastlePrint Galway telling us about the importance of branding, Wayne Denner helping us to manage our online reputation & Karen from Karora Cosmetics telling us all about her successful journey as one of Irelands leading cosmetic companies. The speakers were so informative, and really gave so many helpful tips and inspired me to keep pushing with my blog and to just enjoy and love what you do! We also had a short comedy slot with impressionist TierneyTalks & The Galway Player.
The entire day was just amazing, I got to catch up with lots of gorgeous faces that I had met at the last event but more importantly I met so many new wonderful people including the amazing Sinead from YummyMummyFL one of the organisers of the event. There were stands attending the event including Debenhams Irl, NO.7 Boots Irl, The Body Shop Irl, Amber, Cotton Face, Insight Haircare & Mez’s Masquerade.
Throughout the entire day everyone kept saying to me, “did you see the goodie bags”, “aren’t the goodie bags amazing”, I was bursting to go over and open mine, but I like to wait until I get home and it’s like Christmas morning for me! The goodies we got were just amazing! Absolutely jam packed with goodies from Irish Brands including No.7, Boots, Pixy, Revive Active, Blank Canvas Cosmetics, Wet n Wild, Isadora, The Body Shop Irl, So Kiss, Karora Cosmetics, Insight, Tiger, Memeoirs, The Handmade Soap Company, An Pucan Galway and much more…I’ll be all month trying to get through it! But thank you so much, the Goodie bags are an amazing bonus to what is such a fabulous day!
Last but not least I want to say a massive thank you the two main women Sinead & Saibh themselves, girls the effort, work & detail you put into every event is so obvious and I’m sure a lot of the behind the scenes goes unnoticed, but looking at how far you have come in the last year & the recognition you are receiving is an absolute credit to you both. I can’t wait to be part of this journey with you for as long as it lasts and thank you so much for always sharing my blogs, liking and commenting on my posts and just being a great support to all bloggers! I can’t wait for the next event in September!
